Our History

The Association of Economic Researchers Stoke Skopje (AEIS) was founded in 2010 by a coalition of academic economists and public policy experts who recognized a critical gap in independent, rigorous economic analysis in Southeast Europe.

Over the past decade, AEIS has grown from a small working group to a leading regional think-tank. We have published hundreds of peer-reviewed reports, advised governmental bodies on fiscal reforms, and fostered a new generation of economic thought leaders through our robust fellowship programs.

Our ongoing commitment is to bridge the divide between theoretical economics and practical public policy, ensuring that decisions affecting millions of citizens are grounded in robust empirical evidence and sound economic principles.
